There are various situations where agricultural products meticulously grown by farmers are not sold as commercial products. For example, fruits and vegetables that cannot be shipped because they are misshapen and substandard, or those that are discarded despite still being edible because they were left unsold at stores.

BLUE BLUEBERRY FARM has previously purchased non-standard agricultural products from farmers and sold them as dried fruits. Now, as a new initiative to expand on this, we are launching the "BLUE BLUEBERRY FARM Upcycle Model," which involves regularly collecting markdown fruits from department store supermarkets and turning them into dried fruits.

Department store supermarkets sometimes sell edible but markdown fruits and vegetables at reduced prices, but even then, some unsold items are still discarded.

BLUE BLUEBERRY FARM will collect these items and produce them as upcycled products* in the form of additive-free, sugar-free dried fruits. These will then be redelivered to the source department store supermarkets or sold through our online shop and direct sales outlets.

*Upcycled products: Items that were destined for disposal or unwanted items that have been transformed into products of higher value through modification and reused.
