Nutritious dry fruits and vegetables made with sweet apples from Azumino, grown by Ogurayama Farm without relying on fertilizers or pesticides.
Ogurayama Farm in Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture, grows various fruits, including peaches and blueberries, with a focus on apples. Through the connection of our farm owner visiting them several times a year for blueberry cultivation studies, we had the opportunity to make dried apples using their produce.
Mr. Akio Matsumura, the owner of Ogurayama Farm, practices a fertilizer-free farming method called "Dōhō Style," which activates the plant hormones inherent in fruit trees.
He realized that excessive fertilizer application negatively affects the plants themselves, the environment, and the people who consume the produce. He sought a way to grow fruits without fertilizer, which led him to this "Dōhō Style." Currently, most of his fruit trees are grown without fertilizer.
Apples contain polyphenols. The skin, in particular, is rich in them, with proanthocyanidins, also used in health foods, being the main component.
These dried apples are a condensed form of the inherent nutrients of apples grown without fertilizer, including the skin.
No additives like sugar are used. Please consume as soon as possible after opening.
