The product name is "Back to Basics Mix."

I had always wanted to create a dried fruit mix specifically for yogurt and granola. I envisioned a mix of three to four kinds of seasonal dried fruits, moderately small, easy to mix and use, and with a good flavor balance.

At the same time, I was also troubled by the increasing number of broken pieces during drying, chipped pieces during cutting, pieces that were too small, pieces with too much peel on the ends, and pieces that had poor color due to not using additives. Since bagging is outsourced, I had to weigh items that met certain standards, and I ended up with a mountain of rejected non-standard products whose fate remained undecided.

Even if they are broken or chipped, I am confident in their deliciousness. Furthermore, fruit peels contain many valuable nutrients and enhance the aroma. Most importantly, I really want to avoid discarding precious fruits that farmers have carefully nurtured, simply due to appearance issues. In the first place, isn't it contradictory to actively source non-standard products, only to produce non-standard products myself?

These feelings swirled together, and the name "Back to Basics Mix" was born. I decided to put the thoughts behind the naming directly on the label: "Use it all up. Enjoy it to the very last bite."

The fruits used are four types: apples, citrus fruits such as Kiyomi oranges or mandarins, strawberries, and kiwifruit.

When adding it to yogurt, we recommend mixing about three heaping spoonfuls into one pack (400g) of plain yogurt, stirring well, and letting it soak in the refrigerator for about 6 to 8 hours.

This is what it looked like after being prepared at night and ready in the morning. The dried fruits have absorbed the moisture from the yogurt and returned to a fresh fruit-like texture! It's so delicious ♪

After mixing well and serving in a bowl,

I added more dried fruit on top. I also added some oatmeal. With a variety of textures—crisp, creamy, crunchy, fluffy—and the juicy sweetness of the fruit, it transforms into a rich yogurt! Adding honey is an option, but the sweetness of the fruit alone seems sufficient ^^

In addition to yogurt, please try using it in granola, pound cakes, pancakes, vanilla ice cream, flavored water, dressings, stollen, and more! We will keep updating recipes!
