Sugar-free Japanese black tea fruit tea [Orange, La France Pear, Pineapple, Kiwi]

Would you like to try a fruit tea made with seasonal fruits?

This is an aromatic, sugar-free fruit tea, with sweetness derived from the fruits. As peach season has ended, this is the second installment in our Japanese black tea series. The fruits used are Kiyomi oranges, La France pears, pineapples, and kiwis, whose refreshing tartness and gentle sweetness pair wonderfully with Japanese black tea.

The Japanese black tea used is Benifuki, a tea leaf from Shizuoka Prefecture. While it has a rich aroma, it's not very astringent and is easy to drink, so it beautifully complements the sweetness and tartness of the fruits without overpowering them.

It's easy to prepare! Simply place the dried fruit and tea bag into an insulated bottle or tumbler, and pour in 300ml of slightly cooled hot water (around 60℃). Do NOT use boiling water! Be sure to leave the dried fruit and tea leaves in the bottle.

We recommend waiting at least 10 minutes before drinking, but it gets more delicious over time, so the most recommended way to enjoy it is to savor it slowly over about half a day.

After about an hour, the tartness is still stronger and the sweetness might feel a bit lacking, so be patient! After three hours or more, the sweetness will gradually increase, resulting in a well-balanced fruit tea.

For those who prefer a stronger tartness, we recommend drinking it after two hours. For those who prefer a sweet fruit tea, three hours or more is ideal! Enjoy a relaxing tea time, wondering if it's La France or mandarin orange. The fruit pulp should be quite substantial, so please enjoy it as a snack with your tea!
