Kumakko Farm's pesticide-free radishes are a delicious sweet and spicy snack that can be eaten as is.

Kumakko Farm, located in Akiu, Sendai, grows 80 different kinds of vegetables in small quantities each year, while carefully cycling the fields. These precious vegetables are grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and only high-quality organic fertilizers such as compost and bokashi.

The radishes we use for our Snack Radish are those that are damaged, broken or do not meet the standards and cannot be delivered by our delivery members. These are then cut and dried.

I couldn't forget the fresh sweetness of the raw kumakko, and instantly became a fan, but even after drying, it remains very sweet. The sweetness that slowly fills your mouth with each bite and the slight spiciness that hits your nose are irresistible. Depending on the stock at the time, purple radish may also be mixed in, but the ratio is not constant.

The kiriboshi daikon is cut thicker than regular kiriboshi daikon, so you can enjoy the satisfying texture as a snack as is. You can also rehydrate it in water or lukewarm water and add it to salads, stews, miso soup, etc.

Dried radish is rich in dietary fiber and potassium. Dietary fiber improves the intestinal environment, prevents and improves constipation, and suppresses sudden increases in blood sugar levels. Potassium also helps to excrete excess sodium, and is expected to help prevent swelling and high blood pressure.
