Dried cherry tomatoes grown by Otaki Natural Farm without using pesticides or chemical fertilizers
Otaki Natural Farm is located in the depths of Akiu, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. For the past 30 years, they have been growing rice and vegetables without using any pesticides or chemical fertilizers, in order to avoid killing the microorganisms in the soil.
We made these dried tomatoes because we wanted people to be able to enjoy these truly delicious cherry tomatoes more easily. The farm owner, Shigeru-san, said, "These are delicious!" We are confident in this product. The characteristic of dried tomatoes is that they have a stronger sweetness and flavor than raw cherry tomatoes, and they go great with olive oil, cheese, and garlic. They are also recommended for pickling in oil, and as they give off a broth, they are also great for simmered dishes. They are also delicious as a topping for pasta or pizza while still dried, or as a snack with nuts. Please try them as a snack for your children, or as a healthy accompaniment to your evening drinks!
