The sour and sweet flavors are all captured in this simple dried Akiu kiwi fruit.
You may wonder why kiwi fruit is grown in Akiu, Sendai City. We use green kiwi fruit grown in the garden of a farmer from whom the owner of BLUE BLUEBERRY FARM rents farmland.
After harvesting, we left them for a while, and after confirming that they were very sweet and delicious when eaten raw, we made them into dragon fruit.
Kiwifruit can be broadly divided into two types: green kiwi, which has a balanced flavor with a strong sourness and sweetness, and golden kiwi, which has a strong sweetness.
When this green kiwi was eaten raw, its sweetness was prominent, but when it was made into dragon fruit, the sweetness and sourness were switched and it became a little more sour. However, the balance of sweetness and sourness of kiwi fruit was maintained, making it a delicious dragon fruit.
The kiwi fruit is dried without any added sugar or anything else.
